Record seal inventory and authorized users, the seal identifier before issue, container and booking identity, final door and locking-device check, application time and verifier, transport-document transmission, each custody handoff, and every inspection, break, replacement or discrepancy. Preserve the old and new numbers with authority and reason. Treat a matching seal as evidence of one control event—not proof of cargo quantity, product conformity, theft prevention, CTPAT status or customs clearance.

Approve the final SKU, carton, pallet and weight data first; inspect and identify the CTU; then map pallet positions, concentrated loads, voids, blocking, bracing and lashing against the applicable transport and equipment limits. Protect machined components from moisture, movement and incompatible cargo without inventing a universal desiccant or restraint formula. Photograph defined stages, reconcile loaded quantities, control door-opening risk, record seal handover, and keep VGM verification separate from the packing and securing decision.

Confirm who is the shipper named in the transport document, the exact container and booking, the competent-authority-approved verification method used where packing occurred, the equipment or component-mass evidence, container tare source, packed cargo and securing-material scope, signed submission and carrier or terminal cutoff. Reconcile any repack, container swap or weight correction before loading. Do not treat VGM as cargo net weight, customs value, a loading entitlement or proof that the container is safely packed.

First determine from the controlled drawing, material and process route whether heat treatment is specified for the exact component and whether the buyer requires a particular special-process assessment or approved source. Map the component, supplier and sub-tier site, process family, furnace or equipment group, specification revision and production lot. Review the applicable assessment scope and date, open findings, corrective actions and customer approval, then link the process control records, equipment status, recipes or parameters, load traceability, atmosphere or media controls where applicable, testing, acceptance records and certificate to the shipped lot. Do not infer material, hardness, case depth, temperature, certification or approval from another part or a general factory audit.

Inventory record classes such as quotations and specifications, approvals, PPAP or first article files, incoming and production inspection, calibration, material and process certificates, lot traceability, nonconformance, corrective action, shipment and warranty evidence. For each class, name the record owner, product and site scope, creation and retention trigger, governing customer, contract, legal or policy basis, minimum period if explicitly defined, format, repository, access, backup, change history, retrieval key and disposal authority. Preserve legal or customer holds, supersession and transfer obligations. Test retrieval from a real part, lot, shipment or complaint instead of accepting a policy statement alone.

Use the customer’s written escalation notice to define the exact defect, part revisions, sites, production and shipping population, start event, inspection standard, location, coverage rule, reporting cadence and exit authority. Keep the additional inspection separate from normal production controls and, for a customer-defined CS2 process, document the required independent third-party role. Reconcile produced, contained, inspected, rejected, reworked, scrapped and shipped quantities by lot. Link daily results to containment effectiveness, root-cause and corrective-action verification. Only the authorized customer decision should end or reduce the escalation; no universal duration, sample size or zero-defect run should be invented.

Define the exact nonconformance and affected population, then classify the proposed action under the buyer’s contract and quality system rather than by supplier wording. Obtain a controlled instruction with technical authority, limits, tools, sequence, personnel competence, inspection hold points and traceability. Review whether the action changes a process, material, surface, geometry, cleanliness, sensor, seal, fastener or other controlled feature and whether PPAP, deviation or customer notification is triggered. Record every unit or lot processed, verify all original and action-affected requirements, preserve as-found and final results, and release only through the authorized disposition.

Identify the exact requirement and nonconforming condition, then bound every affected part, lot, quantity, location, work-in-process, shipment and downstream customer. Segregate and status-control the population before disposition. Document who has authority for return, scrap, rework-to-specification, repair or use-as-is under the actual design ownership and contract; obtain buyer approval where required before shipment or further processing. Link the decision to technical rationale, risk review, reinspection, labeling, traceability, financial handling and notifications. Preserve superseded decisions and never infer that one approved disposition applies to another lot or repeat order.

Start with the characteristic and required measurement capability, then link the inspection record to equipment and fixture identifiers, procedure, range, resolution, calibration or verification status at the time of use and any environmental or software controls that matter. Review the certificate scope, results and stated uncertainty where required, the reference standards and calibration chain, plus the organization responsible for the claim. Confirm how intervals are established from customer or regulatory requirements, equipment stability, environment and measurement assurance rather than assuming a universal date cycle. If equipment is out of tolerance, trace affected measurements, products and release decisions through a documented impact review.

Match the report to the exact buyer SKU, supplier model, drawing and specification revisions, manufacturing site, process, tooling or cavity, sample identifiers and inspection date. Reconcile a ballooned design record to every reported characteristic, including notes and referenced specifications, then verify method, equipment identity and calibration status, units, nominal, limits, actual results and disposition. Keep results from different samples visible and do not average away a failure. Record missing, not measurable, not applicable and deviating characteristics separately, and require the authorized buyer decision before treating the first article as accepted.

Request the LPA program scope, responsible layers, competence, schedule and completion record, then sample process-specific questions tied to the current control plan, standard work, error-proofing or recent problems. For each audit, preserve process, station, shift, part or family scope, auditor, question revision, objective evidence, finding, immediate correction and escalation. Review overdue audits, repeat findings, closure evidence and effectiveness trends rather than accepting a completion percentage alone. Confirm whether a customer-specific LPA requirement actually applies before using its cadence or form.

Define the triggering product, revision, process, line, site, tooling, lot range and start event. Link added Safe Launch checks to the normal control plan and the risks they address; state method, sample or coverage rule, equipment, acceptance criteria, operator, record and reaction. Keep launch controls independent enough to detect an escape from the production control. Review actual data by lot and shift, investigate every failure, update permanent controls when learning warrants it, and exit only when the customer-authorized evidence and criteria are satisfied. Never invent a universal duration or zero-event period.

Freeze the buyer SKU, supplier model, drawing revision, production site, tooling and reason for submission. Obtain the customer’s required submission level or element list, then map every requested record to its version, product scope, source, approval state and open exception. Reconcile the design record, process flow, PFMEA, control plan, dimensional and material or performance results, measurement evidence, capability evidence where required, samples and warrant. Keep complete, interim, rejected, waived and not-applicable states distinct. Do not release volume supply until the authorized buyer decision and any limitations are documented.

Freeze the supplier model, buyer SKU, drawing and BOM revision, then map every retained component and relevant material or coating to its source declaration. State the reporting system, recipient, submission ID and status where applicable. Separate IMDS acceptance, GADSL declaration status, REACH or SCIP questions and customer-specific restrictions. Record unknowns and supplier dependencies instead of filling composition gaps from a neighboring hub. The importer, producer, distributor and legal adviser must determine obligations for the actual market and date.

Define the decision purpose and measurement period, then publish the numerator, denominator, exclusions, source system, owner and correction rule for each KPI. Separate quality, delivery, catalog data, documentation, service and risk signals. Preserve line, lot, shipment or case evidence behind exceptions; distinguish supplier-controlled events from buyer, carrier or customs events; and provide a time-bounded dispute and correction process. Use weights and thresholds approved by the buyer rather than invented universal targets.

Compare the pro forma with the approved quotation and purchase order for seller and buyer entities, references, exact wheel hub SKUs and revisions, descriptions, quantities, units, prices, currency, discounts, packaging, weights when available, Incoterm and named place, payment milestones, beneficiary instructions, validity and estimated shipping event. Independently verify any changed bank details through an authorized channel. Record open technical, commercial, tax, customs and banking questions separately, then release payment only through the buyer’s approved authority and controls.
